From around the 7th century to the middle of the 12th century, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was settled by Slavic tribes. Even today place names testify to the Slavic influence. In memory of this time, the construction of the Slavic village Neustrelitz on Zierker See began in November 1994. More information: slawendorf-neustrelitz.de.

Carving, pottery, weaving, forging - in Slavic village Neustrelitz you can experience how people once lived and worked. The Slavs settled in Mecklenburg - Vorpommern from the 7th century to the middle of the 12th century. To quickly get an overview of the nearly 1.5-acre village grounds, you can climb the twelve-meter-high watchtower.
Slawendorf is open from May to September, from Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm. In October, the gates close one hour earlier. A day ticket costs 4.50 Taler. All information about the village can be found here: slawendorf-neustrelitz.de.
