Anyone who is ever in Kehl should definitely walk or drive over the Passerelle des deux Rives. The 387 meter long and 21 million euro bridge was inaugurated on April 23, 2004. For pedestrians and cyclists, it connects Kehl with Strasbourg in the Garden of the Two Banks. In the middle of the bridge there is a platform with seating and panoramic views.

Kehl am Rhein is located directly on the French border opposite Strasbourg in Baden-Württemberg north of Freiburg im Breisgau and south of Karlsruhe. Not a really nice city like e.g. Freiburg, Breisach or Lahr/Black Forest, but interesting because of their proximity to Strasbourg. The "Bridge of the Two Shores" is also impressive, which takes you directly to the "Jardin des Deux Rives", a park on the French side.
