And if you have a lot of time, there is a trail around the dam ... at the end of 26 km ... or even around both dams (+ Weidatal barrier), then over 40 km ... but only with fixed Footwear, because it is sometimes quite steep; see also here:

The bridge can be made in the context of a small circular walk of about 7 km. Either park the car at the BioSeehotel or directly at the bridge (for example here: komoot.de/tour/14160253).
