This is the last (stair) descent from the hill Bakenberg (50m) to the cliff to the sea in the north of the island Hiddensee. From here you can only walk to the west. To the north, the steep coast is closed due to demolition. You can not walk along the riverside path, as some of the water goes up to the steep coast.

The stairs lead down to the beach. It is a bit steep and long and you have to enter it at your own risk.
