In the Fort 2 recreational area, sport, culture and heritage go hand in hand. The inner fort, the officers' building and the main front building are the bases of many Wommelgem associations. The green edge around Fort 2 is a paradise for walkers and cyclists, and athletes can also enjoy themselves on the football field, athletics track or petanque courts.
