The cycle path over the railway embankment of the former Südstromarner Kreisbahn is also recommended in the winter months, but even more in summer. For the most part it leads through a shady avenue or through forests. In a beech forest west of Lütjensee there are woodruff (only edible before flowering, otherwise poisonous !!).
Overall, the path without major climbs, you can see from the long climb from Lütjensee into the forest. The northern beach of the Großensees or the Mönchsteich offer refreshment in the summer.

On my tour I went on the bike path in Papendorf towards Trittauer. But exactly at the point in the direction of Glinde the pavement was removed. 10/27/2019
Addendum: Stefan50 wrote that the road is paved and should be as smooth as a baby's bottom!

@ Zimmi - we started in Papendorf in May 2020 - now the piece from Papendorf is in a particularly good condition - wide and newly asphalted, no rooting - perfect and even more fun to drive on.
