The symbolic plant of the meaning is the chess flower (Fritillaria meleagris), also called chessboard flower or lapwing egg. It is a species of the lily family (Liliaceae). During the flowering period - usually from the end of April to the beginning of May - you can learn a lot about the chess flower and the Sinngrund nature reserve during nature tours by trained nature guides from the Spessart Nature Park or at the chess flower festival in Obersinn. A huge, violet sea of flowers fills the Sinnaue, where nature in the Sinngrund slowly dresses in soft spring green.
