With the "dark corners" it started in 2006: from those were at "RE light" beautiful eye-catcher, which was admired by many people. A year later it was only called "Recklinghausen lights".

From the 23rd of October to the 8th of November, the colorful lights will be on for the tenth time and, above all, the spotlight will be on the most beautiful buildings in the city center.

2019 is the topic of legends and fairy tales. I particularly liked the 15 minute town hall show, which is open on Fridays to Sundays and on 31.10. at 19, 20 and 21 o'clock is shown. In addition, the area around the Castel Sant'Angelo, the Gymnasialkirche, the Church of St. Peter and the market. There are also free city tours, which also receives some new, exciting information for locals. In the city library (in the former C & A building on the Augustinessenstr / wood market) is read around the clock to get into the Guinness Book of Records.
