The Belvedere Weesenstein, also known as the hunting pavilion, was a Belvedere on a hill above the Müglitz valley in the hallway of the Meusegast district in the Müglitztal municipality. The building erected in the middle of the 18th century served as a viewpoint at Weesenstein Castle and was demolished in 1951. (Source: Wikipedia)

...One wanted to get building material for a new farm in the post-war period. However, the building material was unsuitable for reuse. By 1970 the mountain of rubble had been removed. Also in the time of the land reform, the valuable ornamental trees of the baroque park were felled and used as fuel and heating material. With the demolition of the Belvedere, the structural completion of the park is now missing and so the entire complex was reduced. Only the foundation walls were preserved; a notice board describes the fate of the building.
