    The Kunsthalle, a museum for modern and contemporary art, has been housed in a building designed by the US architect Philip Johnson since 1968. The current collection includes works of 20th century art. These include paintings by Pablo Picasso, Max Beckmann and works by the Blaue Reiter. In the park surrounding the Kunsthalle, sculptures by Auguste Rodin, Henry Moore, Richard Serra, Ólafur Elíasson and other modern sculptors can be seen.

    The Kunsthalle is absolutely worth seeing in Bielefeld. The building is an architectural monument and the exhibitions are also worthwhile for those interested. You should also plan a break in the café or on the garden terrace after you have visited the sculpture park. Sometimes there are also lectures or concerts. A look at the website can't hurt.
