If you enter the city church, you can admire the starry vault, which depicts many patron saints. The church is also a real eye-catcher from the outside.

The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Dionysius in Rheine, also known here simply as the town church, is a late Gothic hall church dating from approximately 1400 to 1520. History: The church had predecessor buildings, of which no remains have survived.
The date of the earliest church construction on this site is uncertain and can only be roughly deduced from a deed of gift dated June 7, 838, by Louis the Pious, in which he transferred, among other royal estates, the Reni estate and its associated church to the Imperial Abbey of Herford.
