The way from puppy to Füchtel leads over the Theklabrücke. An old alder next to the bridge bears the image of St. Thekla. In the pastures nearby, nine pieces of cattle once died from a plague, after which the owner of Füchtel painted the image of St. Thekla attached there. Others say that at the Theklabrücke a single woman with the first name Thekla once drowned, whereupon a Fuechtel canon put the picture.

For black and white photo (private archive): Thekla Bridge collapsed in the mid-1960s. In this photo you can also see the little picture of St. Thekla.
Probably because of Vandalism (?) Became the house of St. Nowadays Thekla hangs a little higher on the same tree. See current photo (December 2019)

The road from Welpe to Füchtel leads over the Thekla Bridge. An old alder tree next to the bridge bears an image of St. Thekla. Nine head of cattle once died of an epidemic in the nearby pastures, whereupon the owner of Füchtel placed the image of St. Thekla there. Others say that a single woman named Thekla once drowned near the Thekla Bridge, after which a canon from Füchtel placed the image. (Brothers of the squire of Füchtel, who held canon positions elsewhere, often stayed for extended periods at the estate.)
