Ochsenburg has an interesting history. The little town used to be surrounded by a wall, the remains of which can still be seen today and which are under monument protection. The town charter remained in the eventful history until 1807, the political development corresponds to that of Zaberfeld. The outbuildings of the former Renaissance castle are reminiscent of the Lords of Sternenfels, who owned Ochsenburg. Unfortunately, the castle itself was demolished in the first half of the 19th century. The street "Schloßhof" is also a relic from this bygone era.
