The water from the Font des Verger no longer flows unused into the sea, but is channeled through an underground pipeline to Port de Sóller and a pumping station. From there, the water is transported to Palma, where, with up to 140,000 cubic meters per day during peak season, it covers a quarter of the town's water needs.
