It was the only grain mill in the valley and in the living part of the mill used to be a well-attended restaurant. The council chamber and parts of the drive shaft are still clearly visible, the upper water channel and other foundational remains fell as in the Kaisermühle the construction of the sewer to the victim. Similarly, the vaulted cellar on the other side of the Schnaitbach.
