The Department of the Taoiseach is located on Merrion Street in the heart of the city. It's where the Taoiseach (which is the Irish equivalent of the Prime Minister) works and conducts government business.
One of the things that makes the building so interesting is its history. It was originally built in the 18th century and was used as a private residence for a wealthy Dublin family. In the 20th century, it was converted into a government building and has been used by the Taoiseach ever since.
