@Hans All I can say is "hats off". Your expedition reminds me of my daily trips to the south of Nuremberg. On snowy days, I was often the first employee to show up for work. The others were stuck in traffic for a long time or public transport had collapsed.

@BeGo I also felt better in the woods than on the street. Equipment weaknesses are limited to fingers and toes, the rest was great.
