A beautiful day has invited to hiking .... And best plans such a hike as a pleasure hike .....
A nice, appealing way to sit in the sun with a possible graduation in a beer garden and enjoy a delicious, cool drink ....
And so we decided on the Butzerbachtal and Ramstein Castle.

The path goes through light deciduous forests past impressive sandstone cliffs, next to quietly ripples the Butzerbach. A small stream that has created its own bed in the sandstone for decades.

Even though the path has some steep climbs, you hardly notice it - so fascinating is the path laid out. It goes along the right and left of the Butzerbach, over stick and stone. And if stick and stone block the way too much, stairs, bridges and bridges help. At the end we even expect 2 suspension bridges. For Hermione, one of her favorite ways to keep her nose and paws out in the water. He is also very challenging for her because she is a scared dog and everything can be very scary for her. On a narrow path, she has to cope with passing strangers. Not every jetty can be bypassed and must be mastered with staksigem gear. And finally - the wobbly suspension bridges ....
Therefore, whose dog has problems with bridges and gratings, it should be clear beforehand that he may also have to wear his dirty, wet dog sometimes .....

After mastering the Butzerbach, you meet the plaster extinguishers, an old Roman quarry. From the area of the Butzerbach, among other things probably come the sandstones with which the Porta Nigra was built in Trier. If you want to know more about this :. eifel.info/a-roemisches-kupferbergwerk-puetzloecher
I always find it impressive how stones were broken and transported away from these often not very well accessible quarries ....

And at the end of the road you will find the Ramstein Castle. At the foot of the castle, an inn with beer garden awaits you. Here you can with delicious food and cool or - if desired - hot drinks strengthen. Even though Castle Ramstein does not make it one of the largest castles, it is worth visiting. The picturesque path then from the castle down to the parking lot is lined with old sandstone blocks. On some faces are carved. What the faces served, does not open to me. I could not find an explanation for this. Should the faces inspire the visitor of the castle with respect or even fear? Do the faces represent former knights or brave rakes?
They definitely inspired me and I examined every cuboid on faces.
    My conclusion on this way:
Bring time. This way you should just enjoy onefaxmcb. And who my way was too short, there is more to discover. The Klausen & Genoveva Cave, the Geiersley ....
