The Naturfreundehaus in Ötisheim is an excellent start and end point for a variety of hikes. Parking is available at the house and on the access road.
On many Sundays, the NaturFreundehaus is run by members of the association on a voluntary basis, partly from noon with individually prepared special meals, otherwise from about 14 clock with coffee, homemade cakes and vespers.
