On the way to Hofheim today we combined one thing with the other and looked at the castle ruins of Falkenstein in the Taunus on the way to the clinic. Unfortunately, without us knowing it, it is closed from November to March! (even with castle ruins there seems to be something like that 🤔)
It doesn't…
Very nice round. Unfortunately, this is often the case at this time of year. Too bad.
How is Fiete?
🍀🍀🍀🍀
Also my question: How is Fiete?
@Spike100 @Walter und 🐕 "PANCHO"
My impression is that Fiete is doing a little better today than on Thursday - at least he was really happy. But he still doesn't want to eat. He has now gained 500g, is circulatory stable and capable of anesthesia. He will be operated on next Monday to assess the intestines…
I am very happy about that and that he has definitely gained weight again. That's worth a lot. To find out exactly what he has.
I keep my fingers crossed that this surgery is a success. That you can help him even more if you have the exact findings. can then treat him on it. The whole Wauzibande plaus…
Hello,
I've been thinking the whole time. Whatever it could be. I don't want to get involved in the conversations between the vets. But it's just a thought of mine and maybe you had Fiete tested for leishmaniasis? You've been to Croatia this year. But definitely where it was warm. This disease is transmitted…
So the precautionary test was done. A dog in the neighborhood also had this disease and it was recognized too late. Unfortunately died from it.

I wish you all the best.
Very nice photos from the round. I keep my fingers crossed for you that the surgery will produce the appropriate results so that you know how to treat Fiete so that he can have a nice long dog life.
@Spike100 Thank you for your thoughts and kind words. Bruno and Fiete were treated by the vet for risks (spot on and also deworming) against heartworms and other parasites in southern countries. We specifically pointed this out with regard to the travel planning at the time. A possible leishmaniasis…
@Christian Thank you Christian! Squeeze hard! We, and a small, young Sheltie will thank you very much. 👍🐾
Very very gladly. You had the best preparation there. I'm always a bit skeptical about all the Spot on things. Because some of the shitty critters are already immune to the stuff.
As you wrote, ask again. You can never ask too much. Because this disease is a gradual process.
The symptoms don't have to…
