I can't necessarily see an improvement on the dream round Iphofen. Above all, you miss the nice stop at the "Augustiner" in Birklingen.

...and then the long way through the forest?

Whether the route from Birklingen to Iphofen or from Markt Einemsheim to Iphofen is nicer is probably a question of taste.

Very atmospheric photos, especially those with fog. Maybe we'll pull ourselves together and leave earlier. We have also climbed up from Markt Einemsheim to the ruins of Speckfeld and back again and have fond memories of this section.

It's worth it, Alsace feeling.
