Spontaneous hike on the day of German Unity.A little tour through the vineyards between Zell and Merl, so my planning. Still ignorant of the actual course, it was shortly before noon by public transport to the starting point of my hike, the "Zeller Black Katz fountain".In the wine lounge on the market square was a cheerful wine bustle announced, this is nothing unusual for this autumnal season on the Moselle. Sure - a glass of Winzersekt to the motivation for the steep rise, why not!Quickly it went the "market street", then the "Zeller Kehr" following uphill. Shortly after the square tower, I turn left to "Collis-Kletterfelsen & Collis-Steilpfad" Alternatively you can reach the "Zeller Bach" up to Collis tower high above the vineyards of Zell (Mosel).I chose the more sporty ascent to the Steillagen vineyards. For physical exercise it went over ladders and climbing aids, secured with wire ropes, up the short, crisp via ferrata. Here I met only a few hikers and climbers.Above the climb, in the steep slopes, everything was different, an afternoon full of nice surprises was waiting for me.If I knew from my own, years of experience in this season, only the tedious work of grape picking in the steep Moselle slopes, today I was taught, between Zell and Merl, a better one. Here the hiking event "Gieh roff of dat Haisje" took place. At various "Haisjer" selected wines from wineries and clubs of the "Zeller-Schwarze-Katz" and delicious treats were offered.- Here is a small excerpt -The "Pidda Häisje" serves dishes from the game, the "Fischers Häisje" serves sweet and savory creps, the "Collis Häisje" serves onion cake with feather whites, coffee and cake as well as hearty grilled meat, the "Rieslingtreff Häisje" also serves hearty grilled as well The popular shrimp skewers, the "Schneckenhaus-Häisje" serve unusual delicacies such as brawn with green sauce or fish paté and the "Lönshöhe- Häisje" serves organic specialties around the organic Mosel pig.In addition to these delicacies, there were panoramic views of the Mosel valley as a free bonus, small rain showers contributed to the refreshment. Thanks to nice company, the difficult descent on a slippery steep path to the wine town of Zell took place without any problems. To say goodbye to this enjoyable afternoon, a "red vineyard peach" - bye & thanks to the next "Gieh roff of dat Häisje".
