Didn't even know that the watchtowers are inhabited 🤣 A great tour with many historical waypoints. Sometimes you also have contact with the Limes on the Rheinsteig 😀🙋 ♂️

I hiked the beautiful tour, albeit starting and ending at the Rheinbrohl train station and thus saving myself the industrial area on the Rhine. After a long period of rain, you will have to dodge some muddy stretches in the Kaltenbachtal.
