On the second stage, you drive to Essingen at the beginning of Aalen and enjoy wonderful views of the bike path on the way, which leads you past colorful fields. After Essingen, a short, crisp climb awaits you, followed by a long descent with some climbs. So you cycle via Heubach to Schwäbisch Gmünd.In the city on the Rems you have reached the lowest point of the stage and can take a long break. Strolling through the historic old town, you can relax your legs and choose a cozy restaurant or café to stop by.Strengthened, you will start to ascend well on well-maintained bike paths. You pass wide fields, lush meadows and small woodland. Behind Waldstetten then begins the biggest climb of the day, which leads you past the nature reserve Kaltes Feld.After enjoying the magnificent view at the highest point, at over 650 meters, you will roll on a relaxing descent through the picturesque Christian Valley and on through the Lautertal to the finish line Süßen. Here you will find numerous accommodations as well as restaurants, cafés and a train station.
