From Tönning today we have made a boat trip to Eidersperrwerk. The barrier serves the coastal defense, the Eider locks in storm tides from tidal current, which used to often led to glorious floods deep into the interior. In the Eider is a mixture of salt and fresh water, so that actually all North Sea residents are native. In the lock today was with us a seal, unfortunately, one can only guess the one in the photo 😥. A ranger from the Wadden Sea National Park has reported a lot of interesting things. A worthwhile trip in glorious North Sea weather. 😃
The kiosk on the south side of the barrage has very good Matjesbrötchen. The best fish is in Tönning at the KFT; the yellow house with the crab in front of the door at the harbor.

@ Börries: The red crab is gone. But we still had fish. 😉
