On the 60 kilometer circular route you will experience beautiful landscapes between Lichtenegg, Kucha and Engelthal. As the name implies, you walk to impressive viewpoints in the central Frankenalb. In addition, you will encounter fantastic valleys and unique rock formations. The starting point of the Frankenalb Panorama Trail is the Lichtenegg Castle, from where you have a wonderful view of the Franconian Switzerland right at the beginning. On the natural trails that characterize this tour, head west.Ascents and descents let you feel the nature of this varied landscape. In between you will always come back to promising points such as the Hochberg, the Jungfernsprung or the Steinerne Rinne. Between the trees you can enjoy different perspectives on the Happurger reservoir.Among the more well-known highlights of this circular walk is the Hohle Fels, which is a popular destination for young and old due to its countless openings and caves. In addition to a lot of nature, you will also get to know the eventful and long history of this region on this hike: Picturesque places and mystical ruins like the monastery walls near Engelthal line the way.The last part from Förrenbach you walk back to Lichtenegg on the same route that you already know from the beginning of the tour.
