On this 28-kilometer tour through the heath, forests and the Havelländische Luch, you will experience Märkische history and legends such as the pear tree from Fontane's famous poem live on. The round trip begins and ends at Nauen station, which you can reach several times per hour from Berlin by regional trains (RE 2, RB 10, RB 14).From Nauen the route runs car-free on a former small train route to Ribbeck. In search of Fontane's legendary pear tree, you will get to know and love the picturesque village ensemble with its church, castle and pear garden, the old washhouse and the old school.Through a wooded area you drive to Groß Behnitz. The Borsigs, one of the most important industrial families of the 19th and 20th centuries, built here an agricultural estate, which is now a popular destination. In the café and restaurant "Seeterrassen", the view sweeps across the lake Groß Behnitzer. Back in Nauen, the eventful tour ends with a short flying visit to the Old Town.
