Attersee-Attergau planned a hike.
August 6, 2019
Travel back in time on this five-kilometer hike. This is possible in St. Georgen im Attergau. Around a few mounds of burial mounds a theme and adventure trail on Koglberg, the so-called Keltenbaumweg, was created here. The route is dedicated to the people of the Iron Age Latenè culture, who lived in the region around 450 BC. Nine stations give you a fun way to learn about the life of the Celts along the way.The route starts at Spitzerwirt in Kogl. A Celtic house and the large Celtic playground are the highlights of the tour. From the viewpoint Vogl-Anna-Platzerl you can also enjoy a great view - with good visibility even to the Attersee five kilometers away. You can expect a varied hike for the whole family.Tip: The hike can be wonderfully combined with a ride on the Atterseebahn. Simply get off at the stop Kogl, from there the way is described. From Attersee the ride takes ten minutes and costs you 2.50 euros.
