Wonderful lake views, untouched mountains, lonely gravel roads and cozy mountain huts - this long tour has it all to offer and brings you a glorious but demanding day in the northeast of Lake Millstatt. You start in Döbriach and follow a slightly ascending path parallel to the Riegerbach. After this cozy warm-up program, the route bends in Radenthein and ensures the first demanding ascent of the day. If you're interested in minerals, you can make a detour to the Granatium experience museum before the climb.Up to Dörfl you'll make your calves glow and at the same time rejoice over the peace and idyll that await you up here on the edge of the Nockberge Biosphere Reserve. On the following flat passage, you can breathe again, before it goes uphill again. The virtually traffic-free road leads you higher and higher and actually invites you to take a break for a while with great views. So, before you get out of breath, just stop, take a deep breath and enjoy the moment. Slip a piece - it's no shame! You can look forward to the delicious chocolate cake in the Millstätter Hütte. The hut marks the highest point of the tour. From now on, it is almost only downhill and there are all kinds of other pleasures waiting for you. In addition to the fantastic view up here is another hut on the route. There a coffee or a piece of cake - you deserve it anyway. And then follows the long descent back to the starting point of the tour. If you fancy trail instead of road, you can give the first part of the descent down to Öttern on a parallel forest road that certain something. For this you only need to add this highlight to the tour: komoot.de/highlight/536198.
