With my big, we went on our royal tour. Early on we went to Finkau at the reservoir Durlasboden. Over the Wildgerlostal today we wanted to venture over the crossing of the Roszkopf over into the Krimmler Achental.
    But one after anonther.
Since the Wildgerlostal is closed to public transport, our starting point is the small family hotel Finkau. From here it goes, after a short distance on the gravel road, directly on the great narrow path through Leiternkammerklamm the first meters up. Through the narrow gorge, the Gerlos winds its way up the valley on many levels, and the bluish waters of the Wildgeroskees, as the glaciers here are called, strike one. After about a kilometer we leave the gorge and the picturesque Wildgerlostal opens up to us, at the end of which the already named glacier awaits us. The first km we then still on the gravel road, which was created for the supply of the Zittauerhütte, but from 1900m it is only on small mountain trails and later through the wall up to Wildgelrossee. The paths there are well developed, so that you can get to the Zittauerhütte on 2328m very well on the pre-blocked terrain and the insured with a rope railing wall.
Here we make a little break in the hut and the landlord willingly gives us information about the current situation on the mountain and at the crossings. Strengthened, we could now leave the beautiful place on Wildgerlossee and tackle the last 500 vertical meters to the summit. Again, the paths wind with many great views up to the heavily pre-blocked summit massif. But here, too, there are no particular technical difficulties to recognize and the way over the rocks up to the summit comes, in my opinion, hardly on exposed areas over. So we could enjoy the view from the summit after less than 3 hours of pure walking time. While we ate our lunch, we were able to observe roped parties over the Wildgerloskees and look at the mighty 3000's of the region. Reichenspitze Wildgerlosspitze or the Gabler were close to us. After my great climber in the summit rise easier than I climbed, it was after our strengthening again in step with our next goals. We already knew that in the Rainbachscharte even larger snow fields lie and hinder the descent. Rather unusual at this time of the year. The hutkeeper had already secured this by a rope, but since the path over the Roszbachscharte was more obvious after our ascent to the summit, we descended via this, direction Richterhütte. This part of the tour is especially worth mentioning for its wonderful seclusion. About first steep paths from the Roszbachscharte, which is to be expected in heavy traffic with rockfall, it is now in a quick trip through the wonderful paths and partly on rock down to Rainbachtal. Only in very barren terrain later across meadows to wonderful pine groves, it goes down to 11 km Krimmler Achental Krimmler Tauernhaus. Point landing - 10 minutes before our hiking bus drives us through Achental to Krimmel we step out of the forest next to the waterfall and enjoy the 40 minute drive to the hotel. More is not to say ;-) - only recommended for imitation.

Definitely worth a visit. Also the visit of the gorge or the Zittauerhütte without summit are already highlights.
