Von Oberweng auf den Kleinen Pyhrgas – wandern in Pyhrn-Priel
Pyhrn-Priel planned a hike.
July 23, 2019
The Kleine Pyhrgas is located in front of the main ridge of the Haller Walls a bit to the north - this makes the panoramic view under its summit cross particularly interesting and appealing. This ten-kilometer hike takes you up the mountain and has 1,100 vertical meters in it. But it's well worth the effort. You start at the Jausenstube Singerskogel in Oberweng and wander from there to the Gowilalm. The path is wide, but in places quite steep. Just follow the footpath with the number 616. At first you walk through shady forest, then the path leads you over a steep and wooded back to the Gowilalm at 1,375 meters altitude. Here is a break announced.Well-fortified, it goes on uphill. Above the pasture, follow the path branching off to the left, which climbs up through the steep slopes of the mountain and the rocky terrain high above the Holzerkar. Immediately you have reached the summit cross and can look forward to the impressive panorama. The descent takes place on the same route.Remember that the summit increase requires sure-footedness and a head for heights.
