Jacob's Ladder is a Uphill that is notorious among UK bikers. He is really demanding, leads across varied terrain in difficult terrain and always, if you think you've made it, comes a crisp rise on top. As sweaty as this trail is uphill, it's so much fun to go downhill. Once you have reached the top, a really good, fast descent awaits you!In fact, Jacob's Ladder is the highlight of the tour, which awaits you towards the end. Before you start in Edale and can look forward to a varied ride with many vertical meters. Rise to the Hollins Cross awaits you a technical increase - can you do it without dropping one foot off the pedal? In any case, in the end, you can be proud of yourself and enjoy your reward in the form of the great view.Take a breather, because you are still not at the top! A hill called "Mam Tor" and the subsequent "Rushup Edge" still want to be climbed. Join in your strength, because although it gets a little flatter here, it has the upsurge in it.The subsequent downhill towards Hayfield is a real hammer, mountain bike action at its best. And then she comes: Jacob's ladder! A steep, technical climb leads around 250 meters uphill in a row - before it goes fast, technically and with interesting curves and grooves back downhill. Downhill fun at it's best, taking you back to Edale via Upper Booth. The starting point of the tour is the easiest way to get from Shefffield by train. The journey takes about half an hour and costs about nine euros. If you prefer to come by car, you can find parking spaces below Mam Tor or directly in Hayfield.Tip:
There are plenty of places to eat in Edale. However, a relatively large number of tourists come here - so expect that something can be going on here.
