The first tour on the Szczecin Lagoon starts at the Haffhus in Bellin, about five kilometers east of Ueckermünde. The train station of Ueckermünde can be easily reached by train - from the Pasewalk junction station, the Regional Express will take you to the Lagoon in 35 minutes. In front of you are 38 kilometers around Lake Neuwarper. You cross the border to Poland once by boat, once by bike. From Bellin you drive on the road-accompanying cycle path to Vogelsang and continue through a shady and fragrant coniferous forest to Altwarp. At the harbor of the old fishing village lies the cutter "Lütt Matten", which brings you and your bike to Poland. On the ferry there are fresh sea air as well as fresh coffee and home-baked cake. In Neuwarp (Nowe Warpno) arrived - the smallest place in Poland - worth a photo stop on the market square and a side trip to the beach promenade. On a paved bike path through the forest you drive across the border to Rieth. There, several cafes invite you to rest. A short detour to the natural harbor of Rieth is also a great experience. In Rieth is the "Heimatstube", a tiny museum of local history. The further way leads through the nature park at the Szczecin Lagoon. On the way there is a lookout tower, from which you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Neuwarper lake and the Riether Werder. On a forest path you continue to Warsin and on the known route back to the Haffhus. Please pay attention to the travel times of the ferry: The ferry departs every day except Monday and Tuesday at 10.45, 12.15, 12.45 and 15.15 clock in Altwarp and arrives 15 minutes later in Neuwarp. Including bicycle you pay six euros, with the e-bike eight euros for the crossing. Further information can be found at:
