Dikes, sheep and flat land - North Sea idyll pure. On this 65-kilometer bike ride you dive into the characteristic landscape of North Frisia. From Husum it goes by bus to Hattstedt. From there you cycle over the 2.5 kilometer long dam and leave your daily stress behind. Because on the peninsula Nordstrand the clocks tick more slowly. On the dike, you circle the peninsula and can enjoy the tranquility, the wind and the view of the sea. You will be accompanied by the bleating of the sheep, which keep the grass on the dikes short and thus contribute to the care. Every now and then you have to dismount and push your bike through a gate. But you have a fantastic view of the mudflats and later on the Halligen. On the way you come to enough great places for a break over. After about 30 kilometers you leave Nordstrand and continue on the narrow dike, which brings you to the Lüttmoorsiel and from there to the Hamburger Hallig. In Lüttmoorsiel there is a swimming area and a café. If you take a break here, you might see the Halligbahn, which runs from Beltringharder Koog to Hallig Nordstrandischmoor.Once you reach the Hamburger Hallig, you follow the only path across the small marching island to the top. There you can stop in the restaurant Hallig Kroog and enjoy the view of this very special landscape. The last few kilometers you cycle at the nature reserve Beltringharder Koog back to Hattstedt.Arrival and departure: Husum can be reached every hour from Kiel, Hamburg and Westerland. After Hattstedt and back brings you the bus 1020th In Hattstedt you can borrow a wheel at the gas station in town, with or without electric motor (open daily from 5.30 bis 21 clock clock).
