So, now I have time to comment. Yesterday it was really late. In the morning at 7 in Dresden drove off and taken just before the finish a police check. But then it finally started. From Spindler Mühlen always follow the Elbe uphill. The first few kilometers are only slightly uphill and only from 1,100 altitude difference is steep. Wonderful is the ascent to the Elbbaude - directly past the waterfall, where you can put in with a sure kick also. Then a cool blond in the Baude, already with a view of the Schneekoppe and the Wiesenkoppe.

Then on to Elbquelle at 1.387m. There impress v.a. the coat of arms of all cities on the Elbe - made as a mosaic. And finally reaches the ridge of the Giant Mountains and climbs up to a plateau (no summit) at 1.495m. Immediately behind are the impressive snow pits that actually had snow. Steep cliffs, where the sun comes only tentatively early. The view sweeps over mountain lakes over into the flat country on the Polish side.

In the sunshine but a decent breeze we walked along the ridge, but had to leave the Hohe Rad (1,509) to the right. It followed many small ups and downs and several sandstone formations before it went downhill again. A great tour - both the Elbe, as well as the Kammweg were impressive. The Scheekoppe we had come a lot closer, but this time was not the target. And indeed, far fewer tourists were on this tour :-) At 22.00 then finally back home and fully satisfied :-))
