A ride that takes in the wild moorland above Langholm and then descends to Newcastleton returning through woodland and finally following the River Esk. Quite demanding and don't do it in bad weather or if there is no chance of enjoying the spectacular views. (New) Phone ran out of charge 2/3rds of the way through so no pictures of latter parts of the ride. Will do it again and provide more information on Langholm and Newcastleton. If you are lucky you will see Hen Harriers on the moorland stretch.
Start from the large car park on the left as you leave the town. Good view of river and Telfords bridge that spans the Esk. Public Toilets too and sometimes an ice cream van!
