From Col du Mollendruz you walk on the Chemin du Mont Tendre to the Col du Mollendruz. It starts at about 500 meters up to the Mont Tendre and then gently down to the Col du Marchairuz. It starts at the Col du Mollendruz at 1,180 meters altitude. From here you climb several steps up to Mont Tendre. The path leads you through the middle of the Natural Park Jura Vaudois. Just before the summit you can take a break in the Chalet du Mont Tendre, where you will be spoiled with hearty and varied home cooking. From the huge terrace you can enjoy a fantastic view over the Lake of Geneva to the Alps.Freshly strengthened, you climb the last few meters to the summit. From the top you will be enchanted by a similarly unforgettable view as from the hut. From the summit, however, you have a spectacular all-round view that stretches from the Savoy to the Bernese Alps and from the Vosges to La Dôle.Through a park-like landscape, you gently descend to the Col du Marchairuz. On the way you will always come across dry stone walls, which are typical of the high pastures of the Jura. They were built as property boundaries and fencing of pastures and are ideal habitats for lizards and insects. The start and end of the hike can be reached by PostBus.
