The third day is a breeze. The pilgrimage starts again at 3:00 in Massing. We'll be back half an hour later, this time our overnight accommodation - since 30 years - is on the pilgrimage route. Although it is still dark, you can not see much of the landscape, but the whole pilgrimage in a lights procession and when you look behind him and the lights in blue, red, yellow and green meander like a snake, that's very beautiful. From the forest, there is the last rest, the pilgrims have doubled.
In a pilgrim song we sing: "We draw to the Mother of Graces, to her most holy image, o guide the wanderer's paths and bless Mary mildly."
Arrived in Altötting, for some years, the image of grace is brought from the chapel in front of the chapel and we pilgrims pull over and have made it again and then if like Heuer about 8000 pilgrims move into the St. Anna Basilica and then sung "Who Believe is never alone ", then you feel that too and it feels good.
At the end of the service our pilgrim bishop always said "See you next year in Altötting or in the sky above". Our pilgrim minister Hannes Lorenz took over this phrase.
I'm looking forward to May 28, 2020 when we sing again "We're moving to the Mother of Graces ..."
