Actually Treptow-Köpenick is much better suited for cycling than Venice, because there cycling is not allowed in the narrow streets of the city center! It's a different story on this bike tour: here you are welcome and thanks to the many lakes, rivers and canals along the route you will feel as if you were on vacation - at the latest when you cycle through "New Venice" east of the Müggelsee. So why go into the distance? The good is so close!Start at the S-Bahn station Grünau, where after a few meters already a little break is waiting for you: The ferry will take you across the Dahme to Wendenschloss. By the way, very sustainable, with electric drive and - in the sunshine - with solar power. Then you cycle a little along the Dahme until you drive through a small forest and change the shore and reach the Müggelsee. On wonderfully created bike paths through the shady forest it continues. If you like, you can also make a detour to the lakeshore, where again and again small, free swimming pools invite to a refreshment. Alternatively, there are all sorts of rest stops, where you can strengthen and refresh yourself on the way.You briefly roam the Dämeritzsee before you reach New Venice. The many small canals of the weekend house settlement are actually reminiscent of the capital of the Italian region of Veneto. A little later, the heritage-protected beach Müggelsee invites to another cool refreshment. If you like, do not hesitate to stay longer than the end of the tour, because from here it is not far to the end point at the S-Bahn station Friedrichshagen. Here you can get on the S-Bahn.
