In the northernmost area of the network between Gasseldorf and Heiligenstadt is the idyllic Leinleitertal. This almost 30-kilometer tour will take you on the first stage along the valley floor, then across its heights to Veilbronn. You can choose between different variants. We will introduce you to a round which will take you through the Leinleiter-, Wern- and Leidingshofertal in an eight. Starting point is the place Gasseldorf. The route offers you a lot of nature and variety. Right at the beginning you will accompany the rope leaders on their journey through the Franconian Switzerland. In Veilbronn you leave the river for the time being and wander into the picturesque valley of the Werntal. Then you meet the Leinleiter again and walk along the river back to Vielbronn. Then the path leads you through the Leidingshofertal back to your starting point. Finally, two special highlights await you: the ruin Streitburg and the Binghöhle. This tour is designed in two stages, with overnight in Heiligenstadt. So you have enough time to enjoy the beauty of the region on the way. If you only have one day, but the distance is too much for you, you can only walk off part of the eight or get off the bus at one of the stops.Arrival and departure: After Gasseldorf you come from Ebermannstadt with the bus 221 in less than ten minutes. From there station you have access to the surrounding larger cities.
