The second day of hiking takes you up to Monte San Salvatore with its magnificent view of Lake Lugano. On the way you will visit two small villages that will enchant you with the unmistakable Mediterranean charm of Ticino.From Lugano-Paradiso, the funicular takes you comfortably to the 912-meter-high summit of Monte San Salvatore. From the roof of the church and on the viewing terrace you can enjoy a 360-degree view, before going on comfortable hiking trails through chestnut forests to the artists' village of Carona. Here you can visit the Parco San Grato garden, where the largest, most species-rich collection of azaleas, rhododendrons, conifers and conifers of Ticino grows on its 62,000 square meters. Continue walking hundreds of steps down to the lake to the picturesque Morcote. A very special atmosphere prevails in the local Parco Scherrer.
