On the third hike, you will discover a peculiarity of the canton of Valais: the Suone of Ro. A bite - also called bite - is an irrigation canal, with which the water from the mountains to the fruit and wine growing areas in the valley is passed. Many of the bisses are already hundreds of years old and bear witness to the masterpieces of their builders. The starting point of the hike is the dam of Lac de Tseuzier. On the total of five hours of hiking time you will find a varied route: waterfalls, streams, forests and a unique flora. From the Tseuzier artificial lake, you hike back to Crans-Montana over the Suone of Ro. In the Middle Ages, this channel was built on the rock face to irrigate the fields. The hike leads through the Rière valley and the wild mountain area of Ertentse to Crans-Montana.You would like to get to know the mountain landscape of the canton of Valais in all its facets? The hiking tour "From the Matterhorn to the Aletsch Glacier" offers you exactly this possibility. The high-alpine trekking tour across the Valais takes you over spectacular suspension bridges, to fantastic vantage points and along snow-covered glaciers. Here you can take a closer look at this great long-distance trail: quite as adventurous, but no less beautiful, is the four-day Valais Wine Route. Here you will discover the Valais from its sunny side and get to know the noblest wines of the canton along the way. Inviting wine taverns, typical farms and some of the steepest vineyards in the world line your trail. Your offer for the Valais Wine Route can be found here
