And brought sunburn?
Great scenic tour once north-south through the Ruhr area on the Parkway Emscherruhr to the Kemnader lake and back (via Langendreer, House Dellwig, Zeche Zollern). Note from me to the track (both are sections of the cycle path "Green Eight": The piece in Obercastrop by the nature reserve Langeloh is recommended only for experienced bikers .The path is very uneven / slippery / lots of boulders and rinses and where it goes steeply downhill ( Good brakes required), it goes again very steeply uphill (with lots of manpower) .If you like it more comfortable, save this part of the Langeloh from Hecklenbruch / Distelkampstr and Hotel Daun. Here better continue on the cross road directly to Bochumer Str and follow the parkway. On the way back to Schwerin, the section (departure from the Halde Schwerin) is only experienced bikers. The path through the forest is very narrow, haunted by tree roots and very wet (mud, ruts). If you like it more comfortable, it is better served the bike path (after which you have crossed the New Hellweg) at the next bike lane crossing left (instead of right) to drive and follow the local bike path signage. The way through the Oberspredey, Cottenburgschlucht, old racetrack, the Hotel Goldschmieding over to the Hammerkopf tower, Bodelschwingher / Dorlohstraße is also very nice to drive and will be rewarded with a great vision. The trail alternative meets at the junction at the Deininghauser Bach back to the old route guidance.Visitor tip from me: The House Dellwig. Cozy seating in the courtyard, in good weather you will be there also fed and gets his thirst quenched. At least that's how it was today. But in itself the building is worth seeing.
Another tip: the sun seems to smear well with sunscreen before. Then there is no sunburn :-)!
Dear Steffi, thanks for this hammer tip, I did not know
