The moorland trail takes you on 80 kilometers through the moorland of the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch. You will hike on five stages past barren raised bogs, flower-filled lowland moors and pristine moorland landscapes. Start and finish of the round trip is Sörenberg. The stage destinations are Kemmeribodenbad, Flühli, Gfelle (Finsterwald / Entlebuch) and Stäldili (Flühli). All waypoints can also be reached by public transport, so you can also plan individual stages as day hikes. On the way, you will alternately walk on old pass routes, stony mountain paths and alpine and forestry development paths. The landscape changes constantly. Sometimes you walk on soft ground through sparse forest of a haunted moorland and sometimes past impressive rock formations high peaks. Along the long-distance hiking trail countless rest stops in alpine huts, restaurants or cafes await you, so that you can always strengthen yourself with regional specialties.
