The Karnische Höhenweg, also known as the "Peace Trail", takes you along the entire Carnic Ridge, which runs along the border between Austria and Italy. You walk through a magnificent landscape, experience a beautiful nature, can enjoy breathtaking views and enjoy pure mountain idyll.With more than 7,500 meters in altitude, there is the Karnische Höhenweg in itself. But you can divide the course into eight to eleven daily stages, a descent into the valley is (almost) possible at any time. Overnight accommodation and managed cabins are also sufficiently available.If you are aiming for the path for eight days, the following splitting up of the route makes sense:
1st day: Leckfeldalm - Sillianer Hütte - Obstanserseehütte (11.5 kilometers)
Day 2: Obstanserseehütte - Filmoorhütte - Porzehütte (11.8 kilometers)
Day 3: Porzehütte - Hochweißsteinhaus (16.4 kilometers)
Day 4: Hochweißsteinhaus - Wolayerseehütte (15.7 kilometers)
Day 5: Wolayerseehütte - Zollnerseehütte (23.7 kilometers)
Day 6: Zollnerseehütte - Nassfeld, Alpenhof Plattner (23.8 kilometers)
Day 7: Nassfeld, Alpenhof Plattner - Dolinza Alm, Gasthaus Starhand (23.5 kilometers)
