The beginning of our tour leads us along the Saale to Rudolstadt and on the horizon you can see the Heidecksburg.Once in Rudolstadt, drive towards Schaala and optionally cycle to Keilhau. The Froebel Museum is located in Keilhau.Between the towns of Eichfeld and Groschwitz, there is an underpass on the right towards Lichtstedt. This is not signposted. Please follow the route guidance.Note: On the route from Lichtstedt to Remda-Teichel there is an unpaved path of about 150m on the highest elevation. This is well compressed and can be ridden with the racing bike without any problems. Then there is another asphalt section.
ATTENTION: 2 bumps are integrated on the subsequent descent !!!An idyllic and relaxed path follows to Dienstedt. There you have a connection to the Ilm cycle path that leads to Kranichfeld.Alternatively, you can drive across the Thuringian Basin.komoot.de/tour/221470605?ref=wtdPassing the Kranichfeld Castle and the Niederburg take the turnoff towards the Hohenfelden reservoir.
You can refresh yourself at the lido or let off steam in the climbing park.Follow the bike path to Klettbach and cycle to the A4 underpass. The road leads to the city limits of the state capital.My route leads past Erfurt, over the eastern bypass. Therefore, an individual route to the center is recommended.
