Like the fjord Schlei itself, the Langsee was formed during the last ice age as a glacier gully. Our hike will take you through the beech forests on the shores of the lake and across the vast meadows and fields of the area. It also goes to the neighboring Idstedter See - if the tour with almost 23 kilometers is too long, you can simply skip the second lake. On warm summer days, you should definitely bring your swimwear, because at both lakes lure cozy bathing spots. The starting point of your round trip is on the edge of Süderfahrenstedt. From here you stroll to the lakeshore and in the shade of pines and beech trees along the water. In several places you can hop right into the cool water. On the east bank the Wellspranger Au flows into the lake and here the path leads you out onto wide meadows and fields. With a wonderful view you walk in a loop to Böklund - various restaurants invite you to take a break. No less idyllic you follow the route back to the Langsee and through beech forests on to the neighboring Idstedter See. The can be completely surrounded and several wooden bridges lead through the reed belt to the water. At the end, you stroll through the forest back to the starting point of the hike.
