Planned by Kufsteinerland
The Achensee is undoubtedly the main protagonist of this 153-kilometer road bike tour through the Kufsteinerland. Driving along the shores of Tyrol's largest lake is simply wonderful - and in summer the lake offers plenty of opportunities for a cool refreshment. But that's not all: The Reintaler lakes, the Tegernsee and the Spitzingsee complete the "Tiroler Meer" to an idyllically beautiful lake quartet. This round is challenging, but at the same time pure enjoyment! You start in Kuftstein and roll to warm up for a while through the Inn Valley. After leaving the Reintaler Lakes to the left, the first climb waits for you. It will take you across a fairly busy road up to the Achensee, but it's worth it: the relaxed journey along the lake alone and surrounded by the impressive mountain scenery is worth every effort. Then it goes gently downhill to Tegernsee. Here it is worth a short detour for a relaxing break on the lake. Fill your bottles and your energy storage and look forward to the rest of the tour. Because then you drive on a picturesque, low-traffic road through the natural jewel Valepp. On the way is the Albert Link hut: A stop is actually a must - here you will find the most delicious Kaiserschmarren far and wide.Past the Spitzingsee you continue to Bayrischzell and the last lake of the round, the Thiersee. The picturesque natural lake again offers a really idyllic opportunity to cool off. Pedal once more, then a glorious descent awaits you, which will transport you directly back to Kufstein.
