This hike impresses with its spectacular views from the Kellerjoch. You can let your eyes wander from the Großglockner to the Großvenediger until it meets the Zugspitze in the northwest. The goal of the hike, which is considered a simple tour in Tyrol, is the Kellerjochhütte. She is known for her good food. For all sure-footed hikers, it is only a stone's throw from the hut to the chapel at the top of the Kellerjoch. If you come from Schwaz, you can take the city bus on the Hochpillberg to the hotel peace. From the bus station it goes past the Hotel Grafenast to the lift. You pass underneath the lift station and then start the ascent, which takes you alternately over a footpath, climb, track and in places over the runway. It usually goes up comfortably in the (light) forest. At about 1,600 meters you change from the old Kellerjochweg on the Jägersteig. The leads you in the light forest with virtually no significant change in altitude over to Naunzalm (Niederleger). In the open alpine pasture, you will hike to the small, old Alm building with the path cross. Then it goes in serpentines gently up to the Naunzalm-Hochleger. From Hochleger you hike up a steep track to the very visible Kellerjochhütte. If you want, you can after a culinary break on the Kellerjochhütte in half an hour walk up to the Kellerjoch summit. At the summit at an altitude of 2,344 meters, not only the spectacular summit chapel awaits, but also a panorama that surpasses the view from the hut. Surefootedness and a fundamental degree of vertigo are necessary for the ascent. Then you return to the starting point of the hike on the same way.
