This tour follows more or less the course of the Wiesent, the river of the Franconian Switzerland and thus it is a kind of classic that you should not miss. Again and again, the route makes little detour away from the river, which ensures that many crisp climbs wait for you and you have collected in the end whopping 880 vertical meters. If that's a bit too much for you, you still do not have to give up the beautiful Wiesent: from the start of the tour to Doos, you can follow the river on beautiful bike paths or roads and enjoy an almost flat course. On this tour you will get to know the Franconian Switzerland in all its facets. Shortly after the start in Gasseldorf invites the ice-cold Wiesent with a wonderful swimming area for a quick refreshment. Then the first ramp up to the castle ruins Neideck - absolutely worth seeing and the view from up here is awesome! After each uphill follows a downhill: In the Franconian Switzerland expect many totally flowy trails on which you can run it beautifully. And of course, the cozy rest stops may not be missing. Beautifully idyllic beer gardens invite you to stop for a breather right on the banks of the Wiesent. In Doos you leave the Wiesent and drive through the no less beautiful Aufssßtal for a while. With the last crisp increase in the tour, the return journey to the starting point will be heralded. A few more easy up and down and you reach the small town Streitberg and thus again the shore of the Wiesent. If you have left out the bathing area on the way out, now offers yourself again a jump into the cool water, before you roll the last few meters back to Gasseldorf. The tour starts at a parking lot near the Wiesent, where you can simply park your car. If you want to arrive by public transport, you best take the train to Ebermannstadt. From there it is about three (flat) kilometers to the start of the route.
